This is a good quality blu ray DVD player as you can tell from the specs. The picture and sound quality is excellent and you will be hard pushed to find another player as good for the price in fact this BDP-SIE is said to be as good the Pioneer BDP-LX70 which is twice as expensive, so if you’re looking for an economical but good machine, this is it.
There are a few negative points, this player does take a long time to boot up initially but this is only a nit-picking comment really. The main gripe is that it needs a firmware update from the Sony site and this is incredibly difficult to find and do. This is very frustrating and Sony really need to give better instructions on how to do this to make this product the best it can possibly be.
All in all this is a good player and I know the blu ray players are not exactly cheap however you look at it, but this is one is at the cheaper end of the scale and the quality for your money means you’re getting a real bargain
